This page chronicles the discriminatory practice of states requiring a parent to pay child support on a child who is 18 years or older. These laws permit a burden to be imposed upon one class of citizens---divorced or separated parents---that cannot in like circumstances be imposed upon married parents residing together. Oregon's Crocker v. Crocker update, 11-22-99 The Supreme Court of the State of Missouri has ruled against a father, Steven Snodgrass, in the case with his ex-wife on the issue of continued child support after age 18. (Supreme Court Ruling) 8-24-99 Let us all encourage the Father, Steven Snodgrass, and his attorney, Jack Cavanagh, to carry the case on to the US Supreme Court with what ever help that they need. Furthermore, let us encourage Missouri Fathers to take the issue to their Legislature for correction.
